The CPH Programme formally closed at the end of July 2011 having successfully delivered two initiatives which will benefit both industry and government and has been positively supported by key industry representatives.

Greater consistency in issuing CPHs
In order to bring about improved consistency in the way new and temporary CPH numbers are allocated, the programme has worked in collaboration with RPA, Defra and AHVLA to clarify the high level principles behind CPH allocation in England. This, combined with the use of the CPH Viewer, will contribute to greater clarity for all about where livestock are located.
