Dairy hygiene

Since April 2012 the Food Standards Agency (FSA) have taken over the role of dairy hygiene inspectors on farms in England and Wales, continuing the work of AHVLA who previously conducted this work on the FSA behalf. AHVLA will continue some inspection visits throughout April and May to ensure a smooth transition.

Dairy hygiene inspections in Scotland are the responsibility of local authorities.
