Reporting suspicion of disease

How do I report a suspicion of animal disease?

Animal Health investigates all reported cases of notifiable disease.

Controlling disease is a partnership between the animal keeper, the veterinary profession and government. It is essential if you keep livestock that you are vigilant for signs of disease and know how to report suspicions of notifiable disease.

Animal keepers should in the first instance report disease suspicion to their own veterinary surgeon or, if notifiable disease is suspected, to their local Animal Health Office.
